How can you view our accommodation and chose where to live?
You can view our accommodation on-line and searching our database of properties. Alternatively, you can contact our office directly to physically attend an inspection of the property at the prescribed inspection times set by our office.
How does a student make an application for accommodation?
You can make an application for accommodation directly on our website by clicking on the APPLY NOW button.
What documentation will the student need to complete?
Once you have completed our User Friendly online application form, you will recieve an example copy of all documentation to be completed prior to commencement of your lease and entry to your room. This ensures the you understand the terms & conditions of the lease before you pay any deposit or move in.
How does a student pay their rent?
You will be provided with a rental payment table that clearly sets out the dates by which your rent needs to be paid and the account details to pay the rent into. You can pay as follows:
i) by logging into your bank account online and transferring the funds electronically
ii) we welcome students to pay rent at our office using EFTPOS or Credit Card facilities
What is included in the rental?
Your rental includes furnishings, internet, utilities (electricity and water). In most cases it also includes complimentary laundry facilities.
What is included in a room?
A standard room includes a bed, clothing storage, paper bin, study desk and chair. For ensuited rooms only, your room also includes your own bathroom. For studios only, your room also includes your own bathroom and kitchen. Our properties are comfortably furnished in the common areas and the kitchens are equipped with basic cooking equipment and dining utensils. You need to bring your own linen for your bed but we will provide you with a brand new mattress protector.
Who will you be living with?
As a student residing with The Pad you will be living in a friendly environment with other students who have undertaken the same application and approvals process. This may include students from other countries and/or those that share your cultural backgrounds.
Where will you be living?
We have a number of our various accommodation properties (sharehouses, units, accommodation buildings etc) in various locations. Our properties are located within close proximity to your education provider and other facilities such as shops. All of our properties are within walking distance to public transport.
