Our Team
Our team are industry professionals all having undertaken tertiary qualifications both locally and internationally. We pride ourselves on passing on our experiences to our clients and customers. We have over 26 years experience in the accommodation industry and our Executive Management Team are graduates in the fields of commerce, real estate, finance and law.
Our management team are multi-lingual – English, French, Arabic and Mandarin with a particular emphasis on quality and personal service.
Damian Haber – Director
Damian has over 15years experience in professional services as an Advisor to both Government and Private Sector on Property and Finance. Previously, Damian was a Senior Lawyer in Tax and Property with Freehills Lawyers in Brisbane and Melbourne and Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers – Head of Property Advisory Group Queensland. More recently, he was appointed Director, CB Richard Ellis – Head of Property Advisory, Queensland. Damian has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce as well as International Law qualification, and Real Estate License. Damian is a Board Member of the Property Council’s Planning & Development Committee, Chairman of the Student Accommodation Industry Association (SAIA) as well as representative on various Advisory Boards to Government. He brings to the Group a strong background in risk management, business advisory, finance and deep property industry knowledge.
Brian Haber – Senior Manager - Finance, Risk and Compliance
Following over 19 years experience in the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) in Brisbane, Melbourne, South Australia, and New South Wales, Brian joined The Group more than 4 years ago and prior to joining The Group, Brian was the Principal of a logistics company. Brian brings a depth of experience in customer service, quality assurance and risk management and speaks both English and Maltese.
Fabby Ernesta – Senior Manager - Relationship Management and Strategic Planning
Fabby migrated to Australia as a mature international student several years ago after formerly working in the tourism and hospitality industry in the Seychelles. Fabby’s study in Economics together with background in overseas hospitality, as well as French speaking capability affords The Group valuable insight into its strategic business planning and international student sector.
Sameer El-Lagta – Manager
Sameer migrated to Australia as a professional in marketing and advertising following his position as Head of Department in one of the pre-eminent marketing and advertising groups in the UAE, with responsibility for some of the largest international client accounts. After spending several years in Australia formerly as a marketing professional in a community based organisation and more recently as a mature international student, Sameer has now obtained Australian citizenship and has grown to be a major contributor to The Group’s international customer base and marketing strategy. Sameer speaks both English and Arabic.
Kris Lee – Manager
Kris joined The Group after arriving in Australia relatively recently from her home country of Brunei. Kris’s family has a strong background in business, with her father being a Senior Executive of one of the world’s largest Oil companies and after having recently completed with High Distinction her Bachelor of Property Economics at the University of South Australia. Kris is the youngest ever Property Manager of the Group to manage her own Property Portfolio which is a testament to her capability. Kris speaks fluent English and Mandarin.
Chloë Upton - Manager
After studying Architecture, Chloe has worked in the project design and property sector for over 8 years both in Australia and in the UK. Chloe was also a integral member of the Project Design and Delivery Team working on the London Olympic Games project in preparation for 2012.
Emma Giezendanner – Manager
Emma is currently undertaking further study in business communication and technologies after completing a Bachelor of New Media Arts. Emma has over 6 years experience in the hospitality industry, making her customer service skills a great addition to the group. Emma’s attention to detail and strong customer service background affords her clients and customers with a higher degree of experience in this area.
Nina Kaitilla – Manager
Nina has joined the group in 2011. She has three years of previous experience in real estate, specifically residential property management. Prior to this she has worked in retail and is currently taking a break from her Journalism studies.
Lexi Dixon– Reception
Lexi joined The Group in 2010. Her studies in Sociology, Psychology, Administration and Business have seen her develop invaluable intercultural communication/administrator skills and she approaches all aspects of her role with a high degree of customer service. Prior to this she has worked in customer service and studied justice administration; with previous experience in real estate commercial, sales and property management administration. Lexi is currently undertaking further tertiary study into public relations and advertising.
Mitch Briggs – Maintenance Coordinator
Mitch joined The Pad early 2011 as the maintenance co-ordinator. With experience managing prestige properties on Brisbane’s south side Mitch is now co-ordinating the maintenance for all of The Pad’s properties. Prior to working in the property industry Mitch studied Business and worked passionately in the hospitality scene, working for some of the most recognised venues in the country.
Taidgh Flint – Maintenance
Taidgh heads our Maintenance Division providing both co-ordination as well as professional maintenance services to our property owner clients. Taidgh has over 15 years experience in the construction and building maintenance industry having worked as building maintenance supervisor for Clements Constructions prior to joining The Group. Taidgh’s ability to diligently maintain our client’s assets and protect value as well as afford our customers prompt reliable property maintenance response times is our point of difference.
Mark Miot– Maintenance
Mark has just recently joined The Pad’s maintenance department with his focus being directed on landscaping and garden management. Mark brings to the Group over 10 years experience in the hospitality industry formerly working with the Marriott Hotel Brisbane and River Gallery apartments as their maintenance supervisor. Mark approaches his work with enthusiasm and is committed to ensuring the presentation and upkeep of all properties under our management are maintained to the highest level.
